The story behind
the brand.
Cruises by Bob was born from a belief that Kenyans should not have to see cruising as something distant, unfamiliar or reserved for travellers somewhere else in the world.
For me, cruising represents something much bigger than a holiday at sea. It is a different way of experiencing the world — waking up somewhere new, discovering a destination without constantly packing and unpacking, and experiencing the journey as part of the destination itself.
That is why one of my greatest goals through Cruises by Bob is to educate and encourage more Kenyans to cruise. I want people to understand what is possible beyond the traditional ways we have been taught to travel, and to discover that the world can be experienced with comfort, curiosity and a little more imagination.
I also believe that choosing a cruise is deeply personal. The right ship, itinerary and cabin can completely change the experience. A first-time cruiser needs a different kind of guidance from someone planning their tenth voyage. Families, couples, solo travellers and those celebrating something special all have different reasons for travelling.
My role is to help make that choice clearer — to share what I know, answer the questions people are sometimes hesitant to ask, and help Kenyan travellers feel confident about taking that first step onto a ship.
